Jiwen Chen, born in Heilongjiang, China, 1972. Admitted to New York Bar, 2001; Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (Not admitted in District of Columbia). Education: Tianjin University (B. Eng., Chemical Engineering, 1995); Fudan University Law School (LL.B., 1997); George Washington University Law School (LL.M. in IP Law, 2000); Georgetown University (M.S., Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, 2003).
Mr. Chen’s intellectual property law practice encompasses all phases of patent prosecution and limited to matters and proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. His working experience covers the technical areas of chemical, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, bioinformatics, medical devices, mechanical, telecommunication software and other patent fields. In 2003, he completed the internship program at the National Institute of Health Office of Technology Transfer.
Mr. Chen is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
