
Leesa N. Weiss (Senior Associates), born Washington, D.C., July 30, 1956. Admitted to the Bar, 1987, Pennsylvania; 1988,

(A.S.C.A.P.), Catholic University. Member: The District of Columbia Bar, Bar Association of the District of Columbia,
International Trademark Association (formerly United States Trademark Association); Chairman, Subcommittee on Patent
and Trademark Office Policy and Procedures, 1992-1994.
In 1979, while a Graduate Student at George Washington University, Ms. Weiss was a Student Intern with the United States
Department of State, Bureau of International Organization Affairs. From 1980 to 1981, she was a Staff Assistant with the
President's Commission for a National Agenda for the Eighties. Ms. Weiss began her career in trademark and copyright law
as a Legal Assistant in 1981. Since graduating from law school in 1987, she has actively practiced trademark and copyright
law, including prosecution of trademark applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and inter-partes matters
before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and Courts of Appeals for the Federal Circuit; as well as litigation before
the United States District Courts. Ms. Weiss counsels clients regarding various intellectual property matters including
registration, trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and infringement opinions and licensing and franchising agreements.
