
Matthew J. Cuccias, born Monterey, California, September 12, 1966.
Admitted to the Bar, 1994, Maryland; 1999, District of Columbia; 1995,
U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland; 1998, U.S. District
Court for the District of Columbia. Education: McIntire School of
Commerce at the University of Virginia (B.S., 1989); George Washington
University National Law Center (J.D., 1994). Member: American Bar
Association, Northern Virginia Technology Council.
Initially upon graduating from the George Washington University National
Law Center, Mr. Cuccias focused his practice on complex commercial litigation.
Over the last several years, Mr. Cuccias' practice has been exclusively focused
on intellectual property matters, including federal court litigation, inter
partes proceedings and client counseling on trademark, copyright, Internet and
licensing matters. Mr. Cuccias has litigated numerous intellectual property
matters in federal courts across the county. Mr. Cuccias has written various
articles. He was the principal co-author of How Safe Is the Y2K Harbor for the
Good Samaritan?" published in Mealey's Year 2000 Report, Vol. 1, No. 9 (Oct. 1998).
